【摘要】:Thetestmethodisdesignedtorelatetohigh-speed,superchargeddieselengineoperationand,inparticular,tothedepositcontrolcharacteristicsandantiwearpropertiesofdieselcrankcaselubricatingoils.Thetestmethodisusefulfortheevaluationofdieselengineoilqualityandcrankcaseoilspecificationacceptance.Thistestmethod,alongwithothers,definestheminimumperformanceleveloftheAPIcategoriesCFandCF-2(detailedinformationaboutpassinglimitsforthesecategoriesisincludedinSpecificationD4485).ItisalsousedinMIL-PRF-2104.Theresultsaresignificantonlywhenalldetailsoftheprocedurearefollowed.Thebasicengineusedinthistestmethodhasaprecombustionchamber(ascomparedtodirectinjection)andismostusefulinpredictingperformanceofenginessimilarlyequipped.Thisfactorshouldbeconsideredwhenextrapolatingtestresults.Ithasbeenfoundusefulinpredictingresultswithhighsulfurfuels(thatis,greaterthan0.5wt%)andwithcertainpreemissioncontrolledengines.Ithasalsobeenfoundusefulwhencorrelatedwithdepositcontrolintwo-strokecycledieselengines.1.1Thistestmethodcoversafour-strokecycledieselenginetestprocedureforevaluatingengineoilsforcertainhigh-temperatureperformancecharacteristics,particularlyringsticking,ringandcylinderwear,andaccumulationofpistondeposits.SuchoilsincludebothsingleviscositySAEgradeandmultiviscositySAEgradeoilsusedindieselengines.Itiscommonlyknownasthe1M-PCtest(PCforPre-Chamber)andisusedinseveralAPIoilcategories,notablytheCFandCF-2andthemilitarycategorydescribedinMIL-PRF-2104(seeNote0).Note0CompaniontestmethodsusedtoevaluateotherengineoilperformancecharacteristicsforAPIoilcategoriesCFandCF-2arediscussedinSAEJ304.ThecompaniontestsusedbythemilitarycanbefoundinMIL-PRF-2104.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorotherunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thistestmethodisarrangedasfollows:
