MIL-STD-6040B (NOTICE 1), DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INTERFACE STANDARD: U.S. MESSAGE TEXT FORMAT (USMTF) DESCRIPTION (U)(26 AUG 2009)., MIL-STD-6040B is UNCLASSIFIED and contains the rules to provide a standardized set of USMTF messages and protocol for DoD use. The messages using XML-MTF schemas are versioned controlled and updated as required and are valid for use inacquisition. As authorized by DISA-GE332 the DoD controlling office for this MIL-STD, the distribution restriction of this military standard remains at DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT "C" (I.E. DISTRIBUTION AUTHORIZED TO U.S. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND THEIR CONTRACTORS). All allied releases of this standard continue to requirea foreign disclosure authorization.
